What files are these? who made them? As far as I can tell, most of the
files on the net right now are IV converted files, or files converted
from some CAD package. I would expect these files to be huge since they
were primarily intended as a flashy demo.

What I don't think we have yet is the average user creating VRML files.
Until he starts creating files I don't see how we can have any idea what
sizes to expect. In my previous message I think I agreed that large 5meg
type files must be compressed, I even agreed that compressing 1meg+ files
will also provide a win.
