Sound, motion, vibration

When sound is added to VRML, it would be useful if the spectrum could cover
zero to 20kHz. While the audible portion can be used by headphones,
speakers, etc, the inaudible range below 20Hz has many functions that can
increase the fidelity of the experience. Of course it will need specific
hardware in realspace to provide the stimuli, but vibration and motion cuing
has long been used in the simulation industry (albeit with mixed results).
Smart chairs for flying in cyberspace would use this low end spectrum for
new kinds of music that you feel as well as hear, and motion cuing provides
a keener sense of immersion.
I realise that this is a narrow band request, but it sounds like a simple
extention of the sound spec, and it opens up VRML into a whole new level of
immersion.
