I think Mr. Behlendorf is absolutely correct. It seems clear to me that
VRML is a language/tool for use on the web. It is not in and of itself
an infosystem.

The web does not equal HTML. Ascii is _quite_ commonly used on the web.
Adobe's pdf may become common. Should we have comp.infosystems.pdf? No,
pdf went into comp.text.pdf.

I vote for comp.lang.vrml.

1) comp.infosystems[www].vrml lose because VRML is not an infosystem. Any
more than ASCII or pdf or postscript are.

2) comp.graphics.vrml loses because there is nothing like vrml in the
graphics hierarchy

3) comp.lang.vrml compares favorably with comp.lang.postscript.

I think you could make a good case for comp.graphics.lang.vrml. The
comp.lang.* group is huge and mostly programming languages. Also,
a quick glance suggests that comp.graphics has been growing into a
larger hierarchy. (_e.g._ comp.graphics.rendering.*,
comp.graphics.packages.*)

So, if any one else will back me up, I'll change my vote to
comp.graphics.lang.vrml.

Daniel.
