By now, those of you running Solaris must be very disappointed
with TGS's handling of the WebSpace port. Anyone want to take a guess
at how many SUN workstations are equipped with the necessary
graphics/accelerator cards to run WebSpace? I have a rough idea...
Less than 5% is probably an accurate figure. Which makes me
curious if TGS has ever done any demographics of what systems are
actually linked to the net. Surprise, >50% of all workstations on the
internet are from SUN Microsystems.
So who is TGS hoping to sell this product to? Certainly not
the majority of users, who can not use the product in its present
form. IMHO, the WebSpace beta release was too much hype, not
enough substance. I blame TGS for this, mainly due to their complete
lack of any realistic press release.
So like so many others, I sit and wait until "the next big thing"
comes my way. Thanks again, TGS, for a job not done...
