Let's go full frequency

With regards to extending the sound range down to 0 hertz...

I'm all for it -- and more. Let's make it a BIG spectrum.

I can see all sorts of possibilities:

- non-human avatars. What if we are DOGS IN CYBERSPACE!!!
If I'm a dog in cyberspace, I want to be able to hear when
someone calls me with one of those dog-frequency whistles,
thank you very much. Otherwise, I might not get supper.
And what about if there's a bitch in heat... oops, sorry,
that's not the sound dept.

- CDMA / TDMA. We could have cellular phones in cyberspace.
and then adgoery gkjv zkc jfh gfv, woops, I just got handed
off from one cell to another...

So, this is a bit more of a focus on the higher
end of the spectrum. But let's keep things open on
both ends of the spectrum!

P.S. Admittedly this is all VRML 2.0 -- and I hope
none of you are forgetting that we should be doing
fuzzy (multi-valent) numbers for #levelofdetail.

P.P.S. I don't think any of our preliminary guesses
at nodes for sound have excluded any frequencies. I
think the frequency interaction is more at the level
of the .au / .wav files (and any other formats our
viewer includes players for). I can't remember how
they handle frequencies, but it should be possible
to use whatever frequencies within those file formats.
again, we're getting into territory where we need
the sound engineer guru-types.
