Gavin Bell just told me I have given out totally erroneous information on
the SoText2 node as implemented in Inventor. First of all, the size is
interpreted as points, not pixels. Second of all, as far as zbuffering
goes, SoText2 obeys the zbuffer like anything else. I was thinking of the
SoAnnotator node, which is a group node which turn off the zbuffer and
draws its children last so they appear on top of everything.

Sorry, I'll verify my facts next time. It just indicates my confusion
with the whole topic :-)
