  This is getting to be an anti-Gopher debate - what I didn't want
  to flood the list with, oh well.

  This was fixed a couple of hours after the release. The announcement
  said alpha for a reason. Had we given source code it would have been
  beta. Giving binaries is always a pain. Remember how well Mosaic worked
  when it was first released?
