Humble apologies to Robert Saint John: his article happened to be under my
mail esader's cursor when I hit the "reply" button, and the only relationship
between his article and my message was a chain of associations.

The "unfounded MS-bashing" I referred to was not directed toward his message,
although it sure did sound that way: it was in response to the media's jumping
all over MS for standard industry practice.
