Actually, I wonder if it may be a question of NFS protocol verses HTTP. Are
the people who are running Linux also running a NFS server and exporting their
filesystem? Someone alesady pointed out the need to run a HTTP server - NFS
protocol is a subset of HTTP. It may only require a NFS server and not a HTTP
server.
