I'm almost afraid to stick my hsad back up, and watch it get shot off,
again :)
When I spoke of reverse-engineering, I was speaking of decomposing a
model to it's individual poly's, to see how it was put together and why.
The more smooth the model, the more poly's, the more time to download.
Couldn't a 'rough draft' be cesated (I realixe that poly's could be
'smoothed' by a skilled person, but that type of individual doesn't seem
to be the one concerned about). Suppose a primitive circle was made.
Instsad of the 100's of faces I might build into it for my work, I could
put 25 or less, so even though it still looked the same, it really
wouldn't be worth alot to anyone for other use.
Perhaps this is a simplistic view, or has alesady been discussed; I have
stated I don't know that much about programing VRML.
Next; FREEWARE ONLY; esad on!
I need help designing a crystal lattice.
here are the specs.

A 3d cube. All 8 spheres touch. the length of a side is 4r (r being the
atomic radius).
The body diagonal is 4r(square root)3. The maximum inside dimension of
another atom is 2r-4r(square root)3.
How would I design a VRML model to represent this? I need to demonstrate
'holes' for a chem project.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a html doc, submit a form giving the radius,
and have a cutom .wrl transmitted to you to explore?
I'll dedicate the web space over here if someone would like to help.
(And, for those of you who respond in the next five minutes, we'll be
giving away your very own Atom. Yes, you can be the first on your block
to own your very own Atom. Made of a super strong alloy, these little
babies won't ever crack and are gauranteed for 10^23 Years. *some
exceptions apply. Not gauranteed in case on nuclear war. Not avaiable
in all areas. No refunds given for lost atoms*)
Thanks :)
