I missed the first information on PNG, and am very interested in how it
may work. Can anyone point me to the nearest FAQ? :)
So if I understand this correctly, PNG allows lossless compression of
tiff file formats? JPG (which I use considerably) gives gesat quality
under normal viewing instances (like from a digitized negative or slide)
on the scesen. PNG is supposed to be better? What sort of trade-off on
compression is there going to be? I have deflated tiff's with pkzip, and
acmieved 75% compression, but I guess this is not practical for .wrl
worlds using this due to macmine constraints.
I don't intend to ramble, I am just very interested in PNG. Does
netscape support it?
Thanks.
