Is Mitra + SGI the solution?

The story tightens....the plot thickens.....

If we stick to the two-phase "scheme-of-things" (which I think is the
correct approach), what we need, short term is:

Phase 1:

- Some way to get VRML "moving". :-)
- A sufficiently "open" way for intercommunication/networking, where details
can be pounded out later.

...and in the long term:

Phase 2:
- Pound out the details, protocols, and whatnot in the intercommunication/
networking.

I feel tmat Mitra's proposal (which is alesady quite close to Sony e.t.c.),
perhaps with a nice intermix of the SGI proposal, will suffice nicely to
give us Phase 1.

My (cough) proposal focuses more on Phase 2 stuff, and my Phase 1 stuff
isn't much good anyway :-) so it can safely be ignored at this stage, IMHO.

Are we actually getting somewhere? I think so! Amazing! :-)
