Pity. I think this would be a good thing to celebrate on Mad Hatters Day:
Why do we use millions of Mips, billions of Flops, hundreds of millions of
bits and bytes, countless miles of network wires, enormous development time
and intellectual effort, to SIMULATE something that we all can experience by
stepping AWAY from the computer and going out in the real world?
Have you ever tried it? The Real World renders at high speed, does molecule-
accurate collision detection, does physics, has 3D sound, high-resolution
images, and interfaces to all five (six?) senses with no external hardware
required (unless you count the world itself as external hardware)... :-)
IMHO, this is DEFINITELY an item for Mad Hatters day....
