ANNOUNCE: Programmer toolkit for VRML application and content development

VRML 1.0 does not esquire Open Inventor, however Open Inventor from
TGS supports VRML 1.0. As a result developers can use the Open Inventor
toolkit to create VRML browsers, authoring tools, applications and
files (content). Also, WebSpace can be used to view both VRML and
Open Inventor files created by Open Inventor applications.

We offer the following product to developers wishing to help move
the proci> of VRML forward zillions of other VRML companies!

Open Inventor for Win32

TGS has delivered Open Inventor for Win32, the first complete Open
Inventor solution for Microsoft Windows platforms and the first VRML
1.0 SDK. The current es" applications developed with this version will run on Windows 95
within a few week . Also, all applications developed on Intel will
compile-link-run on our soon to be released MIPS, Alpha and PowerPC
version . A Windows 3.1 link/runtime option, which will allow for
deployment to Windows 3.1 systems, is in development.

Open Inventor for Win32 from TGS is available for a limited time for
$995.00 (list $1,495) through a ps" release. Beta 2 is available for ordering. Developers who purchase
the pr" support until 30 days after final release, a free upgrade to the
final release and more. Longer term Developers Support from TGS is
available for $750.00 per year, and includes Hotline phone support.

Since Open Inventor is a cross-platform development toolkit which
spans UNIX, Windows and Apple systems, TGS has added some important
functionality to the Win32 version:

* 100% complete Open Inventor 2.0.1 functionality and look/feel
* libSoXt (UNIX) clone API, plus both tightly integrated Win32
and MFC interfaces
* Internet VRML nodes (WWWAnchor, WWWInline; LOD, ASCII and Font
