Minor extensions to the standard are caused by technical reasons.

At the same time, we recall that, according to Evaluation Agreement which is
supposed to be accepted before you download the Unsupported Beta (though we
do not check this), Evaluators are not entitled to publish the output of
current version on WWW.

In order to enable users create and efficiently render complex realistic
environments, we offer to extend Texture support in the closest VRML 1.x
Spec so that it will cover all relevant Open Inventor nodes.
