As one part to add to this...

I saw some people at a recent at festival showing off their VRML scene
quite proudly. This had lots of rotating objects, built-in behaviors,
etc.

They didn't seem to really like it when I indicated to them that it
wasn't real VRML, just a side-effect of the implementation.
Especially when I essused to use the word VRML to discuss what they
were doing.
