In one hour of instruction, I can teach someone to create "basic" html ps
and how to make whistles". This is one of the things which has made the html explosion
happenP anyone can put up a document. I read recently that the http protocol
has now overtaken the ftp protocol in total byte being moved over the
Internet. I think vrml can end up with most of that bandwidth.

I do not think I can teach someone to create "basic" vrml pages in an
hour... there is too much about scoping and inheritance to learn. If vrml is
to become the dominant tool for viewing and conceptualizing the Internet,
then consumer authoring products like this will be a major factor in making
it happen.

Please note: the "vrml" files produced by this software do ***not*** >eem to
be vrml 1.0 compliant. They include numera> in the specs, and which make statements *do* >eem to work for the WebSpace browser, so I assume these are
"legacy" .iv-related lines of code.

If ParaGraph releases another version of this software that *is* vrml 1.0
compliant, then I for one will probably begin using it for demos and for
rapid prototyping of scenes. This ***could*** be the "killer authoring app"
for vrml, in that it ***could*** open up vrml authoring to the masses of
non-programmers who "populate" the Internet. I sincerely hope this neat tool
becomes vrml 1.0 compliant, and take my hat off to the ParaGraph folks for
the good work done on it so far.

No flames, no complaints, just trying things out as they are released...
