Request for latest survey articles on the theory of transclusion

REQUEST FOR INFO ON TRANSCLUSION:
I'd appreciate knowing what are the latest survey articles on the general
theoretical subject of _transclusion_ -- that is to say:
the incorporation of pieces of text, more or less as quotation
or inclusions, by reference, from standard maintained base
"include" files stored elsewher>.
Would there be someon> on this list who keeps up with such deep-think
database-type literature?
