Ick. Gavin, that's a *pure* hack. It'll work, but it's colossolly
inaesthetic.

For now, you're right that this makes it a non-critical issue. But in
the long run, the language designer in me really thinks we should come
up with *something* that calls a spade a spade, and doesn't require the
user to think of tricks like this. (No, this is *not* obvious...)
