Pretty close to my thinking. It's certainly not the *only* way we
could handle this sort of stuff, but it's a fairly straightforward
one. And it meshes well with the notion of using Java as the base
language; if we wrote a good Java --> browser API, all of this would
be pretty easy to do. I think it's probably as flexible as we're
likely to get, and if Java winds up the behaviour standard for HTML
systems (which is certainly not guaranteed, but it wouldn't surprise
me), we leave open the door for doing cool multi-browser stuff down
the line. And it means we don't need to reinvent the wheel (always
something of an advantage).
