See previous argument. As I've said many, many times, a decent
multi-user system is going to have to minimize server usage as
far as possible, and have far more intelligent clients inter-
communicating. I simply don't believe that a naive server-push
system (like current MUDs) will suffice for a VRMUD...

Point taken. Nonetheless, the heart of my point remains: the best way
to avoid these bottlenecks is to put maximum intelligence on the local
system, and minimize the central intelligence and communications paths,
as far as is reasonable...
