You should of course look at the online information (start at
http://www.eit.com/vrml/).

You may also wish to get a copy of the book The Inventor Mentor by Josie
Wernecke (published by Addison Wesley). This book describes all the VRML
node types except WWWAnchor, WWWInline, AsciiText, and FontStyle.

You should be able to find The Inventor Mentor at a technical bookstore.
