The version 1.0 (finally non-beta) of Harmony (the Hyper-G X11-client)
will be released in about 2-3 weeks. The current development version
contains a scene viewer based on the Mesa library (OpenGL-workalike)
which runs on any Xserver (also for SUNs etc.).

The VRweb project (joint effort of the Hyper-G, Gopher and Mosaic
team) is in progress (first release scheduled for June). Do not expect
full VRML functionality in Harmony 1.0 (we have been working on the
scene viewer for our Wavefront-based format and on the 3D Information
landscape for about 2 years), but you will already get quite a large
part built in.

As you will have read in the VRweb announcement, we *do* plan to
release source code (copyrighted, but free for non-commercial use),
but this will be after the release (and needs some code restructuring).

PS: you may look forward to an alpha snapshot of the current status
rather soon (please wait for official announcements).
PPS: I am on short holidays till Monday, do not expect replies on
questions until then.

bye,

Michael Pichler
