As a writer and especially as a user of VRML, I think that home.wrl is
intuitive, a much better idea than index.wrl (which has always made little
or no sense to the technophobes out there leaping into the web (corporate
types, etc.)).
Home.wrl closely associates to what one would expect from the web and vrml.
Where do you go first in a web site? the home page. Why then isn't it
called home.html? (long explanation ensues).
I like entrance.wrl, but I don't think it will be as easy to remember. It
will be another thing that users will have to _learn_, like index.html. I
think home.wrl will stick the first time it is mentioned.
Another point, I don't know anyone who types /~/~/index.html. They simply
type the directory name, and leave off the extra 10 characters. no one even
types http:// So users of the virtual will have little or no trouble
switching over from html.
