If you read the documentation, they suggest turning off the dashboard
interface, which speeds up things enormously.

Of course you then have to use the (somewhat awkward) command-key
mouse modifiers.

Of course, we're also running Solaris 2.4, which is a bit faster than
the earlier versions.
