We posted the following question to the WebSpace developers, perhabs one
of you knows an answer:

-----------------------------------------------------------

We are asking about some enhancements we would like to be included
in WebSpace. Maybe there some possibilies already built in ( undocumented
features? :) ).
We are working on a VRML project for the ARS electronica
Exhibition in AUSTRIA and
would need the following features:

1) Documentation
Is there any Documentation about WebSpace ?

2) Configurability
* Is it possible to lock the WebSpace Window with a fix placement ?
* Is it possible to make a configuration so that sounds are
triggered by selecting an object w/o double click ?

3) Dynamic Objects (WebSpace -remote)
We know that "real interactivity" will come with version 2.0.
The question is related to possibilities in the current Version.
Would it be possible to change objects NOT by the USER, but
by an external program. We tried to change the position of an object
by rewriting the .wrl file with a C program. This works fine, besides
the fact that whenever our program updates the .wrl file the actual
Viewpoint is reset to the Entryview position.
We updated the .wrl file by calling WebSpace with the -remote
Option.

The Questions:
3.1) Is it possible to influence WebSpace in a more direct way ?
(Do their exist communication protocols by which another
application can talk to webspace ?)
3.2) Is it possible to change the actual model w/o changing the current
View ?
3.3) Is it possible to modify single objects ?

regards and thanks,
