Hi,
and thanks to all who answered about the TurboGopherVR.

I downloaded it and it runs pretty well. There is the odd occasion when it
hangs and strange things happen, but on the whole its pretty impressive. I've
got a PowerMac here so it was no problem running it.

Looking at Turbogopher though makes you think. Its quite simple conceptually
and its a strange experience moving spatially from one bit of virtual space to
another. I think its a foretaste of what could be quite simply the mindblowing
potential of something like VRML.

I think there is a whole load to talk about concerning just that type of thing
.. i.e: is 'space' the right word to apply to that which will be in the end a
chaotic (if anything like HTML) world. Will every part of the new webspace have
three dimensions, or will some have more? Is it going to be consistent?

But is this particular group the right place for that?
Only subscribed a couple of weeks ago, so I'm not sure yet.

I saw talk earlier mentioning other newsgroups connected or which could be
created for the VRML debate. Does anybody know more about this?

cheers,

Mark.
