It would work and yes, the mime decoding would have to be done at the
client since ftp does not support any mime headers that I know of. But
it's prety lame to rely on this. The same is true for any data type in
existance. I hope using ftp as your protocol is just a stop gap until
your server gets updated. I know that the next version of netsite will
have the vrml mime types...
