At the ATRC -- University of Toronto, we are initiating a research program to
discover potential benefits and barriers for persons with disabilities who wish
to access VRML. We have several concerns regarding the VRML specification and
proposed VRML browsers. We hope to become actively involved in future
developments for finding solutions that will benefit all users of VRML.

I would like to invite you to our Web site where we are accumulating information
regarding VRML access issues and potential solutions. Additionally, I have
created a rough document to serve as a bridge between the VRML and
Augmentative Technology research communities. Currently this document is
lengthy, however I plan to extract the key elements into a summary shortly.
The general VRML URL is:

I would appreciate any comments or questions regarding the information on our
site. Additionally, I we look forward to becoming active in the specification
process in the future.
