Yeah, VRML is a lang. that models a 3D scene. Many of these exist
in the graphics world. What VRML adds is the notion that you can click
on an object and do something Internet-like with it. The URL attached
to the object tells you what this Internet-like thing is.

HTTP does *NOT* have to be used to resolve the URL. HTTP is used to
resolve HTTP URLs, Gopher the Gopher URLS, FTP the FTP URLs, Telnet
the .............. you get the idea.
