I think it would also be useful for people to include a VRML 
description of their site - i.e. maybe an image of their house, or 
lab, or a 10 mile high pink triangle.   If my site is to be included 
in a map, I would like some personal imagery stamped on it so people can 
recognise it.  These VRML descriptions would, of course, have to 
include LOD nodes!
