Syntax checking does not appear to be a browser issue - which we appear to
think it should. The construction of bad HTML happens at the editor.
The standard should be an html editor that does the syntax checking in real
time, such as two very decent ones I know of -
asWedit and HoTMetaL (sqhm).
If everyone used one of these, or similar, then there would be no bogus
HTML being written.
