IMHO, unless/until 100% of the browsers used for the web are Netscape, most
web developers do not want to use bogus "netscape-only-tags" that will be
broken gibberish for the rest of the world. My lab has a contract to run a
public web site that should make as much sense to someone coming in with
(ferinstance) a LYNX text-only browser on a modem or telnet connection as
it does to the fortunate ones coming in using Netscape.
Is this issue going to start a time-wasting flame session? Is there
anything useful this group can do to rein in Netscape-isms?
